Henk Helmantel does not paint on commission. But sometimes, as he himself says, he does create something at the explicit request of a well-known Dutch antique dealer. He painted these Chinese figurines from his family's collection for a well-known Dutch antique dealer. The dealer placed the family heirlooms in a pendant. And so a work was created featuring the framed figurines in the same dimensions. A unique combination!
