In 1996 and 2000, Henk Helmantel exhibited his works in Prague. In particular, his retrospective exhibition *Vystava Obrazu* in 1996 contributed to his international breakthrough. At the special request of the organizers, he painted a detail from his famous work *Still Life in a Red Cabinet* for them. On the back of the work is the text: "For Vojtech. As a memento of the realization of the 2nd exhibition in Prague, European Capital of Culture in 2000, and for the film made. Your friend Henk Helmantel."
