In the still life with red pomegranates, we see unconventional use of color by Henk Helmantel. By painting his objects against a fresh blue background, a completely different atmosphere is created than we are accustomed to from him. The combination with the red pomegranates and the Delft white makes for a very powerful painting. A proud work, of which the fortunate owner can be proud.
