Works included by Henk Helmantel in his most important books are largely from museum collections. A private collector who owns such a work knows for certain that the painter himself considers it among his finest. The work is, therefore, impressively well painted. The famous tub-formed wooden tub from Sweden, on display at the Helmantel Museum, a Spanish wine bottle, the small bronze bowl, and the red elements combine to create a VOC scene, but with a modern composition.
