The work with white berries is an atypical Helmantel. Henk is not only inspired by the Dutch Master Painter; the French painter Jean Simeon Chardin has also been a major influence. Anyone comparing this work to Chardin's will see that Henk is experimenting in this piece. These kinds of excursions result in very interesting corners of Henk's oeuvre.
