Henk Helmantel's painting of church interiors began in the church of Loppersum. Over the years, he created seven paintings inspired by this Groningen church. None of these works ended up in his own museum collection, even though the church of Loppersum is important and certainly belongs in a museum collection. In 2022, the time had finally come. This work came onto the market at helmanelsschilderijen, and Henk was able to include it in his museum collection.
